Elk is an Italian Post-rock band.
Ultrafun Sword is their second studio album, a beautiful eight-tracks-long adventure tale where the takeout is about identity.
After a first meeting with the band, it became clear to me how Elk sees each album song as a stand-alone entity interacting with the others in a colourful, perhaps a bit dark, world. So the idea of representing each song with a different animal. The animals pose in a geometrical composition surrounded by a chaotic environment, the jungle.
The project had been designed for physical copies and digital distribution.
For the physical copies, we decided to print a folded booklet containing the lyrics and a poster representing a bigger version of the cover art.
